Kournikova was a moderately accomplished singles player, but was a wildly accomplished doubles player, and her team along with Martina Hingis was widely praised for its effectiveness. Through her modeling work and public appearances, she became famous worldwide. Today Kournikova is one of the top athletes searched for online. Kournikova, a baseliner who competed in singles using the speed and spin is an excellent illustration of a modern baseliner.
